Orasac is well-known place, 70km away from Belgrade, is considered the
cradle of the modern Serbian statehood. It was in this Sumadian
village that in the far 1804, on 15 February, all prominent Serbs met and
agreed to raise an insurrection against long Turkish rule and to elect
Djordje Petrovic Karadjordje as their leader.
Topola was the center of Serbian state in the beginning of XIX century,
where Karadjordje Petrovic built his fortified Town and King Petar I
