Dositej's Lycee is the oldest preserved Turkish house in Belgrade, built in
the mid 18th century with money from endowments left for religious and
humanitarian purposes by various citizens.
Skadarlija is old bohemian quarter, with numerous restaurants, used to be
gathering point of the most famous people of Belgrade cultural life. Among
the resident of Skadarlija were famous writers, actors, painters and
journalist. In same way that Paris has its Montmartre, Belgrade too has its
bohemian quarter - Skadarlija or Skadarska Street.
